C8 Corvette Wheel Options – What We Know
Attention, all Corvette fans! Feast your eyes on the new C8 Corvette:
The 2020 C8 with the Q8P wheels
You’re looking at the most powerful Corvette yet. This bad boy can produce up to 495 horsepower and about 470 foot pounds of torque. It can go from zero to 60 mph in only 2.8 seconds, and zero to 100 mph in 8.3 seconds.
The newest Corvette to hit the market is jam packed with so many great features. Among the most impressive features are the wheels. We love them. They all look great. Before we check out the wheels, let’s talk a little bit about the 2020 C8 Corvette and why it’s quite something.
The All New Corvette
Before kicking off the newest generation, Chevrolet completely revamped the Corvette and came out with this masterpiece. In fact, they carried over only one part from the previous generation. Everything else is brand new.
The Corvette has always been aerodynamic, but the 2020 C8 model brought it to the next level by incorporating some aerodynamic features not before seen on previous models. For example, Chevrolet hid the door handles, the hatch release, and the hood release to create a clean appearance.
The 6.2L small block V8 LT2 engine has been moved to the rear of the car. This is a first for the Corvette, and is the most dramatic change in a long time. With more room in the front of the car, Chevrolet was able to place the windshield above the front wheels. That helps improve downforce and it eliminates the need for a front air dam.
A lot of thought was put into every aspect of this Corvette, and the end result is nothing short of magnificent. The C8 Corvette won’t hit the market until early 2020, but it’s already almost sold out.
Early Reviews of the New C8 Corvette
The new and improved Corvette is already well received by critics all over the world. Consumer Reports writer Jeff Bartlett pointed out that even though the current Corvette is “very impressive”, it was still long overdue for a complete redesign. He hopes that the new C8 “takes the Corvette to new performance heights” and has improved reliability. We believe that the new Corvette will exceed everybody’s expectations.

As we eagerly anticipate the new C8’s arrival in early 2020, let’s check out all of the wheel options. As far as we know, Chevrolet will let you tailor your Corvette’s look by offering five different wheel options:
- Q8P – Bright Silver Open Spoke Wheels
- Q8Q – Carbon Flash Open Spoke Wheels
- Q8S – Ultra Bright Trident Spoke Wheels
- Q8T – Spectra Gray Machined Trident Spoke Wheels
- 5DF – Black Trident Spoke Wheels
Which design is your favorite?
All of the wheels are offered in the same size: 19″ x 8.5″ up front, 20″ x 11″ in the rear. The first four wheels are options. You can chose whichever one you would like when you order. The exception are the 5DF black trident spoke wheels, which are going to be offered as a genuine Corvette accessory. That means they will be sold an accessory from the dealer, and you will get them and the wheels that came on the Corvette. This makes sense for people who like to have a second set of wheels for track tires.
